The Forest View Park District was established on February 29, 1964. It is governed by five park commissioners, and is its own separate unit of government, apart from the Village itself.
Park board meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Park District Board Room. All residents are welcome to attend.
The park features two sand volleyball courts, one lighted tennis court, and one softball field. A walking track and newer playground equipment are also located on the park premises. Park hours are from 6:00 am until 9:30 pm year round.
Programs
The recreation department provides programs for residents of all ages. In the past, the park district has sponsored an Easter Party, Halloween Party, and a Christmas Party. Look for park district flyers and for further information, contact the Park District.
