Cook County Emergency Management and Regional Security (EMRS) is coordinating with suburban municipalities, the City of Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), surrounding counties and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) in compiling damage reports from the storms that impacted our communities across Cook County.

The goal is to collect and submit reports of significant damage as well as to track all costs expended by individuals in responding to and recovering from the storms. The information supplied will help determine if and how Cook County can pursue any disaster proclamations and options for assistance.

The flooding and storm damage from August 16-19 will be treated as a separate incident than the flooding/storm damage in late July.
